If Anywhere...
"If she could go anywhere, where would she go?"

Mr. Nightmare groaned.

Where is she?!

He heard that Lynx has a tendency to hide from Josh, but he never expected that during his period.

"Ink, Blue, have you seen Lynx?" he asked. "No?" Ink asked. "Bro?" "Sorry brother. She didn't come back from recess." Dream replied.

Mr. Nightmare excused himself and dashed out of the class.

C'mon you daughter of a gun, where are you???

He accidentally bumped into Principal Asgore.

"O-ouch!" he yelped, landing on the floor. Principal Asgore is a man of big stature, basically like Captain America or even the Hulk, so he didn't even budge.

"Ah, forgive me, Mr. Nightmare. Are you alright?" he asked, offering a hand to the teacher. "Y-yes sir...I apologize, sir." Mr. Nightmare stood up, his face red with embarrassment. "No, it should be I who is sorry." the principal said slowly. He was about to leave when Mr. Nightmare said, "S-sir, wait!" Principal Asgore turned around. "Is there something you need, Mr. Nightmare?" "Actually, I would like to ask you a question." "Go on?" "Have you...seen a girl? She has platinum blonde hair tied into two braids and grey eyes, she's wearing a pink dress." "Ah...I believe I did. Ms. Mochi, right?" "Y-yes! That's her." "Yes, she went to the canteen, I recall." "Ah, t-thank you so much sir!" Principal Asgore smiled. "My pleasure." he strode down the hall.

Mr. Nightmare ran down to the canteen. He saw the canteen lady, Bunny, and the ice cream man, Richard. "Um, Ms. Bunny?" the slim woman turned around. She wears teal almost everyday, which contrasts to her violet eyes and milky white hair. "Yes, Mr. N?" she asked. "Did you see a platinum blonde haired child with grey eyes?" He asked with hope. "Well...I saw a blondie...but with yellow eyes." she said, turning around to grab a basket. "Dream..." he sighed disappointingly. "Why?" she looked at him. "No, I'm looking for Lynx Mochi." "Oh, you mean Matcha? Why didn't you say so?" Bunny smiled. "No, I'm looking for Lynx Mochi. Not a kid named Matcha." Mr. Nightmare corrected. "Yes, I know her. She loves to talk to me. Rich and I love to call her Matcha because on the first day we met, I accidentally spilled matcha, which is green tea on her shoes." Richard's ears perked up. He has sharp ears and was wild enough to dye his hair blue, though he wears yellow often. "Matcha? Why, she went out of school today!" "What?" Mr. Nightmare asked. "Yup, that small girl always sneaks out during break. Amy and Gressa don't seem to notice." "Maybe their to busy staring into each other's eyes to notice!" Bunny giggled. Mr. Nightmare cringed slightly. He still found it weird that a boy was named 'Amy'. He recalled something about Amy being his nickname, but couldn't remember his full name. Rockamy, was it? Or Jockamy?

He thanked the two and went to go out. The couple stood up and stopped him. "Sorry, sir. You can't go out without proper permission." Gressa said. She seemed strict. She may have tied her snowy hair into a ponytail but it was still a bit frizzy. Amy grabbed her arm. "Let him. He's a teacher." "But, honey..." "Gress, please." Alright." As the gate opened, his mind clicked.

"Thank you Gressa, thank you Dogamy!" he waved them goodbye. He ran out into the streets. "Hmm..."

He sent a text message to Dream.

<NiteT1me>: Bro, where do u think Lynx ran off 2?

<DreamyBoy>: Idk sry. :( Going to ask Ink n Blue.

He sighed. He started to run North, where a small playground was at.

He phone beeped.

"Hmm?"

<DreamyBoy>: Maybe at her house?

Maybe...?

He ran and ran through the snow...

But when he reached, she wasn't there.

He kicked the snow up.

"Mr. Nite?"

He turned around, a small pair of red eyes looked at him.

"Who are..."

"I...I am Kagerou." he giggled. He was a very small kid.

"Ok, then, Kagerou. Why do you know my name? How old are you?"

He raised his hand into the air. "Fiiiiiiive." he vocalized. He stared at the teacher.

"Why are you at Lynx's house?" he asked.

"Hah? You wan to see sister?" Kagerou asked.

"What?"

"Lynx...is my sister..." he babbled.

Lynx...has a brother?

I may still have a chance!

"Ok Kagerou, where is sister?" he asked.

"...Paaaaawn..."

"Pawn...?" he asked.

"Feeeee paaaaaawn!" he shouted happily.

"Fee pawn???" he was shocked.

In Snowdin, there is a shop that pawns items. There is also a shop that allows you to pay bills...Fee pawn...

His eyes widened in fear.

Could it be...?

There is a small club in Snowdin called Fee Pawn, where you can drink, play, gamble, pay loan shark fees and pawn weapons.

Why would a 10 year old girl go there?!

He strode towards the club. He had never been there before.

Entering, he saw a big bulky man standing there by the bar.

"Whaddaya want?" he asked.

"I'm looking for a girl."

"Hmm..." he smiled, his yellow teeth clad with a cigarette. "Follow me."

He took Mr. Nightmare to a small empty room. The door was locked.

"Oi, Rain! This one's buying a Glitter!" a slit opened and a pair of green eyes looked at them.

"You want a young, a middle, or a golden?"

What the apple?

"Um...young?" he asked.

He opened the door. The was a lady in the corner, wearing what Mr. Nightmare thought should never be on a young woman.

"Haha, we've got just the one. Mettaton, the best girl in town. Youngest by far."

Oh no...

He immediately realized he has given them the wrong idea.

"A-Actually, I'm already married. I was just looking for my daughter!" he lied, running out of the room and out of the club.

Blast it, blast it!

Why was I so stupid???

He groaned and strode off to a small park. Sitting on the bench, he growled at the back of his throat.

How am I going to find her?

"Hey, Luna, Crystal, you should eat more...You guys are so small!" rang a familiar voice. Mr. Nightmare looked up.

Huh?

He saw a sign board not too far away that read 'Fish Pond'.

Fish pond...

Of course!

Why didn't he think of it? A five year old would probably say things in a weird way because he isn't used to pronunciation.

Kagerou wasn't trying to say 'Fee Pawn'...

He was trying to say 'Fish Pond'!

He ran towards the fish pond.

There, he saw a girl.

She looked up.

And gasped.

As a teacher he could tell she would probably try to run away because of fear.

She stood up, but he was quick to react.

"Lynx, wait!"

"..." she was shaking.

"You...you aren't in trouble." he said, his voice soft.

"I'm...not...?" she asked.

"No. I know why you ran. You want to run away from them. But please, don't run any more. Running away won't stop them." he said. She stood there, unsure.

"C'mon now." he cooed.

She took small steps to him. He gave her a reassuring smile. Tears in her eyes, she immediately ran into his embrace.

"Atta girl..." he smiled. She was sobbing in his arms, getting his shirt wet, but he didn't care.

Tomorrow, he was going to write an absent note for her.
